

Hector S. Padilla, passed away peacefully on December 31st, 2024, in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Born on September 14, 1950, Hector lived a life that exemplified perseverance and grace.Hector was a graduate of Sam Houston High School. He went on to join the National Guard and worked as a car salesman for many years.
Hector is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Lydia Padilla, along with his beloved brothers, Richard, Arthur, and Jimmy. He is survived by his siblings: Lillie P. Leija, Margie Salinas (Hector), and Philip Padilla Jr. (Sandy), along with sister-in-law Diana Padilla. He was an adored uncle to his nephew, Jason Salinas, and nieces Jamie Salinas, Diana Bonelli (Joe), Anna Lisa Bacon (Scott), Lydia Padilla Hernandez (Chevy), Jennifer P. Martinez (Clifford), and Priscilla Padilla. His role as a great-uncle to Ryan, Martina, Waylon, Richard, Kyler, Jude, Lillian, & Clifford, was filled with the same affection he showed all his family members.
Hector's interests and hobbies were a reflection of his adventurous spirit. He was a true car enthusiast, with a particular affinity for Corvettes. His love for these sleek and powerful machines was more than just a pastime; it was a way to connect with friends, family, and fellow enthusiasts. Music was another of Hector's great loves. He loved music, from classic ballads to lively tunes, and was always ready to sing along or hit the dance floor. He had the most beautiful penmanship and took pride in all he did. Hector was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, attaining the status of the Fourth Degree.
Known for his impeccable sense of style, Hector was always "dressed to the nines," a phrase that captured not just his wardrobe choices but his approach to life. He embraced every occasion with an unmatched zest, ready for a good time to be had by all.
Hector's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Yet, his legacy of joy, adventure, and familial devotion will continue to live on through the stories shared by his family and the memories cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
