

Hector Rodriguez came from humble beginings from Mexico and immigrated to the United States in 1991 with the help of his mother Josefina and sister Blanca Torres. He later became an American citizen in 1997. Hector was a hardworking individual who was versatile and multitalented in trades such as mechanics, electrical work, plumbing, landscaping, salesman and construction. Hector was persistent and a self taught man who enjoyed learning and always excelled in all of his endeavors. He admired both his mother and father’s dedication to their family, loved ones, and followed in their example. Above all, he enjoyed the company of his wife and was happiest with his grandchildren providing love, support and guidance. His other favorite enjoyments in life were dancing with his wife, eating a well home cooked meal, and gardening. Among his famous quotes was: “No matter where you are or where you are headed, you must look presentable in any and all occasion.” Hector was a person that was known to constantly have his shirt tucked in and his shoes clean.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Josefina and Francisco Rodriguez; and wife, Yolanda Martinez de Rodriguez. Hector is survived by son, Hector G. Rodriguez; daughter, Esmeralda Rodriguez; son, Miguel A. Rodriguez and daughter-inlaw Mirna K. Aviles Rodriguez; grandchildren, Alexa, Miguel Jr., Giancarlo, Alexander, and Maximillian; and siblings, Humberto, Gloria, Olga, Olivia, Celia, Blanca and Armida.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North 2102 N. Loop 1604 East San Antonio Tx. 78232.
