She was also a much respected businesswoman. She and her husband, William "Cookie" Adelstein, founded the well-known clothing store, Cookie's Factory Outlet, which is still run by her family for 53 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Adelstein; her son, Reuben Adelstein and his wife, Rochelle; as well as her two grandsons, Jason Adelstein and Sam Adelstein and his partner, Amanda and their three daughters, Madison, Bailey and Brooke.
Helen is also survived by her nephew, whom she called her first son, Dr. Edward Genecov and his wife, Sally and their three children, Jeffrey, Julie and David and their families.
Helen will be lovingly remembered by her family and by scores of her loyal and wonderful customers and friends.
