Helen Irene Browne, age 90 of San Antonio, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011. She was a graduate of the University of Maryland. Helen had many hobbies and interests in addition to her teaching career. She also had a flair for growing bonsai trees, gardening and Ikebana. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew David Lechliter and Edith Long and her two brothers. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Arthur Stewart Browne Sr.; sons, Arthur S. Browne, Jr. and wife, Patricia, David Lee Browne, Sr. and wife, Yvonne; grandchildren, David Lee Browne, Jr., Samantha Louise Isbell, Nicholas Patrick Phelt and Dallas Logan Browne and six great-grandchildren.
