She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School, served on the Church Council, Altar Guild and Grace Lutheran Church Women.
Helen served her community as Burbank High School PTA President, Salvation Army advisory council, Salvation Army Auxiliary, Roy Maas Youth Alternatives and Opti-Mrs. President.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto and grandson, Stephen.
Helen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Barbara Tezel; grandsons, Mark (Alicia) and John (SanJuana) and seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kaitlin, Samuel, Noah, Aiden, Aleena and Alanya.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave.
