With a radiant smile and a heart full of kindness, Helga brought joy and comfort to all who knew her. Born and educated in post-WWII Germany, she carried her heritage with pride, sharing the flavors of her homeland through her legendary cakes, cookies, and traditional meals.
As a devoted wife to William Smith for 65 years, she embraced the challenges and adventures of military life, creating a loving home wherever they went. Her gardens bloomed as beautifully as the relationships she nurtured—with her daughter Evelyn, son-in-law Steve, and grandsons Ryan (with his wife Casey and daughters Piper & Andi) and Dustin (with his wife Kendra and son James).
Friends and family will remember her for her generosity, her infectious laughter during game nights, and the way she made every guest feel like family. Her legacy endures in the traditions she cherished and the love she gave so freely.
