

Henry was an extraordinary man, with a smile that lit up a room, a kind and gentle heart, intelligent, talented and filled with love and joy. He touched the hearts of all who knew him, and all will miss his presence. His life was a forty plus year love story with his wife, Pamela.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela, his beloved children, Carl (Leslie), Catherine (Routt) Thornhill, Robin, seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Also, his cousin Joan Black Light (Jerry).
He was a Halloween baby, born in Wharton, Texas, but lived the majority of his life in San Antonio. He is preceded by his parents Henry C. Bain and Vivian Black Bain, his beloved brother, Gene, and sister-in-law Sue, and many aunts and uncles.
He was a Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Surveyor. He was passionate about Engineering and was a member of NSPE-PEPP (Professional Engineers in Private Practice) serving as National Chairman. He owned and ran his own firm, Henry Bain Engineers, and later, with his family as BMB.
Henry was great at many things - tennis, running, sailing, reading, traveling and so much more! His greatest talent was giving love and joy to his family and friends. He was a magician for making life wonderful.
There will be a private celebration of his life with family and close friends. At his request any remembrances, should be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Alamo Colleges Foundation.
