Dr. Benavides delivered me 26 years ago! I will be 27 on September 24th. I never knew him, and was looking at my birth certificate and came across his name, googled him and now here I am. I’m so sad to know that he has passed away. My condolences to his family. Ive never met you, but I’ll never forget you Dr. Rest In Peace 🥀

Henry your endless jokes and warm smile is still missed, and will be never be forgotten. You were the life of the party then, and I am certain you are the life of the party in Heaven. 

He was my Dr for 5 of my children. I died on my last Cesarean 3 times on him, but will not forget when he told me He had to give me a shot to bring me back to life. He was a wonderful, caring doctor. God bless his family. One of a kind Doctor.

Dr. Benavides delivered my first son.  He was a wonderful doctor and a very nice man.  I'm so sad to hear of his passing.  My condolences to his family.

When I think of my Uncle Henry, I remember our many exciting visits to Harlingen growing up (almost every weekend it feels like!) and how he was the uncle who would ALWAYS be teasing us nieces and nephews, but also making us laugh at the same time! He was always cracking jokes, and laughing his distinct laugh (that would scare away Brittany for many years, even if she just heard it in another room). My deepest condolences to the Benavides family. My wife was one of doctors many patients. I'd like to share a story of our experience with Dr. Benavides. Just a little over 21 years ago, Dr. Benavides helped bring my son into this world via cesesran section. During the surgery my wife was under the influence of the medication you receive during this type of surgery. Dr. Benavides was cool as a cucumber and proceeded to talk to my wife to ease her nervousness. He asked, "So, what are you going to name your baby?" The entire operating room became very quite awaiting her response, although you could hear the radio in the far distance. She replied, "Henry"! The entire room erupted in a big laugh and Doctor looked at me and said "is that right?" I said, "no promises sir, but I think the meds are really kicking in". Needless to say, we decided to name our son, Manuel. He was almost a Henry, and my son knows the story well. I hope that this story finds comfort in those who mourn his loss. May almighty God grant Dr. Benavides eternal peace and may he hold near his family during this most difficult time.

Our family is forever greatful for your true passion of medicine . A very stressful pregnancy became a very happy joyus occassion. In your honor our Grandson Jordan Anthony Orozco carries your middle name. RIP our dear OB you will be truely missed. Ida Adeigbe-Lopez

I am so glad to have enjoyed visiting with Henry. We shared memories of growing up with all the cousins. He had a unique laugh that made me smile. He was so gracious to the nurses in the family. He will be missed by many.
