

Hank was born on February 12, 1948 in Mathis, TX and passed away on February 24, 2022 in San Antonio, TX. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerome Braunstein, his mother, Renee Braunstein, and his brother, Gerald Braunstein. Hank attended Robert E. Lee High School and San Antonio College. He worked at Sears Roebuck and Company and at the age of 21 became the Jewelry Department Manager. After working at Sears for six years and being in the top 10 profitable jewelry departments in a Region of seven states, Hank left the industry to own a Game/Poolroom and Beer Bar for four years in San Antonio. His bar was the #2 Budweiser draft account in the city and had the top paying Foosball tournament in South Texas. He returned to the jewelry business where he wound up as the Manager of Greens Jewelers in Corpus Christi for four years. Hank was then hired by the Joskes Diamond Salon once they came to Corpus Christi. After two years there, he became the Manager of the Joskes Diamond Salon in San Antonio. After a year of working at the downtown Salon, Hank took a 2-year sabbatical and spent some time in a J24 Circuit Regatta in a 3-state region. Hank spent 32 years in residential real estate, with the last 17 years as the Director of Risk Management at Keller Williams Heritage, the largest residential real estate firm in San Antonio, reviewing and training all the agents on contracts for compliance on local, state and federal laws and regulations. In the last several years he was on the National Association of Realtors(r) Professional Standards Committee for South Texas enforcing the Code of Ethics of Realtors(r). On Hanks downtime, he enjoyed metal detecting at the beach and trips to Vegas.
Hank is survived by his sister, Dawn Selby and husband Jim of San Antonio, sister, Julie Miller and husband Marlin of Elm, PA, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Celebration of his life will be held at Beth-El Memorial Park, 1715 Austin Hwy on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
