The third of seven children, he was born on April 27, 1920, and lived his entire life in San Antonio.
After serving with the Army in Europe during World War II, he returned home to resume his career and start a family.
After 40 years of service with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, he retired in 1981 and spent his remaining years playing golf and hunting.
An avid hunter, he always took September 1 off from work so he could be out in the fields dove hunting.
He was an exceptional craftsman and could build anything if called upon to do so.
Henry spent the last four years of his life at Arden Courts where he was lovingly cared for.
Survivors include daughters: Nancy Poole Jim; Sally Cortes Mario; Molly Riemann Karl; Luci Coffey Doug; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold A. Hatzenbuehler and Kenneth M. Hatzenbuehler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
