

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry E. Johns and Anna V. Johns, of Quincy, Illinois; and wife Elizabeth "Sugar" Oliver Johns of San Antonio.
In 1932, Henry graduated second in his class from Quincy High School, and later attended business cOllege in Illinois. After moving to San Antonio in 1942, he established a successful career in the commercial trailer industry, culminating in a long tenure at Lufkin Industries.
He enjoyed fishing at Port Aransas, holiday get togethers with family, and volunteering at NIOSA. In retirement, he and his wife became avid members of The Avion Travelcade Club, traveling throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Henry is survived by his son, Steve Trimble and wife, Carolyn of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter, Diane Johns Powers and husband, Stan of Austin, Texas; daughter Carolyn Johns Woolley and husband, Richard of Durham, North Carolina; son, Henry Johns, Jr. of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Amory E. Oliver of San Antonio.
