Herbert Joyce Herb Green, Born May 30th, 1922 in Hermleigh, Texas to parents Ray Green and Leila Wingo Green, passed away at 12:45AM on January 15th 2008.
Herb graduated from Cumby High School in 1939 and entered the Army Air Corps in 1940 and served with the 1st Fighter Group in England, Africa and Italy during WWII. He attended East Texas State University and reentered the Army Air Corps where he retired in 1962. He entered the Car Business where he spent over 34 years in sales and management.
He was a long term member and officer of First Presbyterian Church in San Antonio Texas.
He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Opal Bryan Green, his daughters, Joyce Glowka and her children Marshall Glowka and John Glowka and his wife Marya, his great grandchildren Jonah Glowka and Leila Glowka, his daughter Peggy Gromatzky and her husband Carl Gromatzky, their children Carl D. Gromatzky, Lynn Gromatzky, John Gromatzky and his great granddaughter Ivy Gromatzky.
