Herb was a fine man and a gracious person. He was a good friend to Mr. Carr and our office staff will miss his visits to Texas Life. Our prayers are with your family during this sad time.

My wife and I send you and all in your family our sincerist Sympathy on the passing of Herb. I was only acquainted with Herb and you for what was two few years but I am so glad to have known Herb during the past few years. I had the greatest respect for a cousin. I know how much he enjoyed the trip to Germany and I enjoyed providing information that helped him enjoy the Trip. I know that the last months have been very hard on him and you and the family and our heart goes out to all of your family. 
We were unable to visit with you on Sunday as we did not get back in town until late last night and are only in SA today with a lot of commitments and will be out of town again tomorrow. We would like to call you later this summer and come out to visit with you. 
I have not had the pleasure of meeting your children, but hope to some day.

Dear Dian and Family, It is with deep sorrow that we learned of the loss of your dear husband, father and grandfather. We will remember him in our prayers and good deeds. Though we are many miles apart, we will be with you in prayer and spirit during these difficult times. Dian, the Lord was good to have brought us together as teacher-student back in 1952-1954 at Providence High School. We remained friends during these years, and it proves that "God is Good."
