Hermila Garcia Chavarria

Mrs. Chavarria enjoyed nurturing plants and spending time outdoors. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and loved spending time with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Inocencio Garcia Duran and Maria De Los Angeles Cortez; husband, Victoriano Chavarria; brother, Juventino Garcia; son-in-law, Salvador Mendez; Addison Hughes.

She is survived by her brother; Agustine Garcia (wife: Enedelia); children; Miguel Angel G. Chavarria (Mary Jane); Victor G. Chavarria (Annette);

Alma C. Mendez; Norma Chavarria-Bonilla and Robert G. Chavarria; grandchildren, Veronica Chavarria, Crystal C. Torres, Victor Chavarria III, Anthony Chavarria, Janelle N. Chavarria, Amanda M. Romero (Omar), Emily Victoria Bonilla and Robert V. Chavarria; great grandchildren, Joel A. Flores, Josiah D. Shelton, Kayla M. Torres, Jax Liam Serros, Mia Chavarria, Anthony Chavarria Jr., Chloe D. Hughes, Angelica S. Romero, Alejandro S. Romero and Leonardo O. Romero.

The Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.

The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of The Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at San Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1202 S. Zarzamora St., San Antonio,TX 78207. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237.
