

She was an active member of St. Rose de Lima’s Red Hats and St. Rose de Lima’s Mariachi Group, where she shared her joyful spirit and love of fellowship. She enjoyed creative pursuits, especially quilting, singing, ceramics, gardening, and walking.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pedro P. Gatica; her son, Paul P. Gatica; her parents, Amelia and Florencio Moreno; and her siblings, Florencio Moreno (Ruby), Gloria (Frank Lumbert), Rosa Arzola, and Eduardo Moreno (Aurora); and her chihuahua “Sweetie”. Minnie was lovingly known as “GiGi” by those closest to her.
She is survived by her brothers, Ernesto Moreno (Michelle) and Fernando Moreno (Lucy); her daughters, Magdalena Salas (Leonardo) and Rebecca G. Rodriguez (Reynaldo); and her son, Pedro P. Gatica, Jr. (Leslie).
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Leonardo Salas Jr. (Irena), Geraldo Salas, Isaac Rene Salas (Elizabeth), Selena Rodriguez, Samuel R. Rodriguez (Amanda), Peter C. Gatica and Mateo C. Gatica. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Victoria (Tori), Lilliana, Camila, Naya, Amelia, Isaac Jr., Alexander Paul, and Dominic.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, her creativity, and the joy she brought to her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the lives she touched.
