December 10, 1950 - July 20, 2026
Herminia Ramos Gonzalez, 75, of San Antonio, Texas, peacefully passed away July 20, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born to Vicente G. Ramos and Guadalupe S. Ramos, December 10th, 1950, in San Antonio Texas. She was known by all as Minnie, and graduated from Burbank High School in 1969. This is where she came to meet her Soulmate Johnny Gonzalez. They became one in celebration of their love, married June 20, 1970, and spent 43 years together.
She is survived by her three children, Jesse (Pat), Johnny (Sonia), and Christine (Ernest). Though Jesse and Johnny were not born to her, she lovingly welcomed them into her home and heart, raising them as her own with the same unwavering love, care, and devotion.
She also leaves a beautiful legacy of love for her nine cherished grandchildren: Taylor, Jesse, Patrick, Dominique, Darian, Jonathan, Bethany, Shelby, Amber, and Ernest. Each held a special place in her heart and will forever carry the love, wisdom, and memories she shared with them. She was also blessed with four beloved great-grandchildren—Easton, Mason, Oakley, and Ryan— she was also a surrogate grandma to Auggie and Elijah, whose laughter and presence filled her life with immeasurable joy. Though she will be deeply missed, her love will continue to live on in each of them for generations to come.
She also leaves six siblings Vincente (Norma), John (MaryAlice), Randy (Becky), Judy (Rene), Pat (Rudy), and Adrian (Tina) including numerous nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by Guadalupe (infant sister 1955), Vicente (Father 1999), Rosemary (Sister 2012), and Guadalupe (Mother 2014) and Johnny (Spouse 2015).
Minnie was a devoted wife, loving mother, and dedicated caregiver whose life was defined by her unwavering love for others. She proudly served the San Antonio Independent School District for more than 20 years, working at Cooper Middle School, Rhodes Middle School, and Jefferson High School. She found great fulfillment in her work and cherished the relationships she built throughout her career until her retirement in 2013.
Following her retirement, Minnie lovingly devoted herself to caring for her beloved husband during his illness, remaining faithfully by his side until his passing in 2015. Her selfless compassion and steadfast commitment reflected the depth of her love and the strength of her character.
Family was the center of Minnie's world. She dedicated the rest of her life to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family, who were her greatest source of joy and purpose. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved, creating lasting memories that will be forever cherished.
Minnie also found great happiness in creating beautiful ceramic pieces. She delighted in sharing her handmade works of art with family and friends, gifting each piece with love and care. Although failing eyesight eventually prevented her from continuing the hobby she loved so dearly, the beauty she created—and the love with which she gave it—will remain a lasting reminder of her generous spirit.
