Herschel Bernard, age 77, died April 28, 2004. He was born July 15, 1926. Mr. Bernard was engaged in the practice of law in San Antonio for over 50 years since his graduation from the University of Texas School of Law. He was a lawyer, counsel to the Industrial Areas Foundation, and a liberal Democrat. Mr. Bernard was predeceased by his son Jeffrey Reed Bernard.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta; his sons, Michael D. Bernard and wife, Theresa Pollock, all of San Antonio, and Jeremy Bernard of Los Angeles; his grandson, Samuel Pollock Bernard; granddaughter, Sophia Rose Bernard; sisters, Gerta Katz of Los Angeles, CA., and Sylvia Thompson of New York; sister-in-law, Martha Utterback and the entire family of Gloria Pollock.
