Homer Lee Gibbs, 71, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015. He was born in South Gate, CA on April 13, 1943 to Leroy and Jessie Lee Hill Gibbs who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine Sue Gibbs and his brother, Thomas Kent Gibbs.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Gibbs; sons, Homer Lee Gibbs, Jr. and Doyle Wayne Gibbs; grandchildren, Hannah Jansky, Hunter Jansky, Vanessa Adams, Haylee Gibbs and Mitchell Gibbs. Mr. Gibbs was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Valero Energy Corporation.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway.
