Homero Macal age 67 went to be with our Lord on Friday August 23, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 17, 1956 in Rio Grande City to parents Juan Macal and Maria Gloria Garza Macal. Homero was a hard worker, a great Father and grandfather. He spent his whole life working hard providing for his family in every way possible. He enjoyed spending time with them on his time off cherishing every moment he could. He loved his family so much, he will be greatly missed.
Homero is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Maria G. Macal, and sisters, Helvethia and Herlinda Macal.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Maria Elena Macal, children, Elizabeth Macal (Borrego), Homero Macal Jr. (Rebecca), Sylvia A. Randolph, grandchildren, Ashley Escamilla (Clyde), Brittany Diaz (Art), Matthew Macal, Homero Macal III, Michael Martinez, Desirae Martinez; brothers, Hisiquio Macal (Rosa), Herman Macal, Leroy Macal and sister, Lora L. Macal; 5 great grandchildren, numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation for Homero will be Monday September 2, 2024 from 5:00 PM till 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00PM. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday September 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Clare Catholic Church, 7701 Somerset Rd San Antonio TX 78211 with interment to follow at First Memorial Park, 20567 TX -16, Von Ormy TX 78073.
