Homero Salinas

Homero Salinas, born August 25, 1947, passed away on September 1, 2026. A proud Vietnam Veteran, Homero dedicated 17 years of his life to serving in the United States Army, and decades to Civil Service. He earned the Combat Infantryman Badge, and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. His military and civil service was a source of great pride, and the friendships and bond he formed with fellow veterans and brother/sisters-in-arms remained important throughout his life.

Homero was known for his generous heart, often giving to others without expecting anything in return. He loved fishing, music, classic Westerns and riding his Harley. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and treasured the time he spent with family, friends, and the brothers he served alongside.

Homero was preceded in death by his father Inez Salinas and his mother Luz Garcia. He is survived by his children, Debbie Harding and husband Tim; Natasha Salinas; Homero Salinas Jr. and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren Katarina, Eleesha, Marcos, Alexis, Nicholas, Gabriel, and Liliana; great grandchildren, Warren, Camilla, and Cecilia; siblings Sandra Kintner and Nora Peña; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. His love for his family was a lasting part of his legacy, and memories they shared will remain with them forever.

Homero will be remembered for his loyalty, generosity, service, and the countless lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship that will not be forgotten. Rest easy Homero. Your service is complete. Your brothers and sisters have your back now and you will never be forgotten.
