Hortencia Moreno Ortiz was called home to be with the Lord, on December 31, 2015 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ismael Ortiz, son Edwardo Ortiz, sister Eudelia Villarreal and parents Alberta & Tomas Moreno. Hortencia is survived by her loving children; Ismael Ortiz Jr. (Lisa), Christina Ortiz(Luis Denizard), siblings; Raul Moreno, Jovita Santos, Nieves Estrada, Tomas Moreno Jr., grandchildren; Brandon Ortiz, Andrew Ortiz, Amy Ward, Marisa Ann Harris, Christin Contreras, Jake Valdez, Mia Denizard, Jennifer Schafer and 10 great grandchildren. Hortencia was known for her love of dancing and baking cakes. She was a dedicated employee at H&H Coffee Co. and Miller Curtain Co. and also volunteered as a Foster Grandparent. Visitation will begin on Friday, January 08, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Saturday, January 09, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at San Fernando Cathedral Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
