He was born in Rutherford, NJ on May 26, 1913.
He started his military career as a graduate of the Flying School Class of 1940 at Randolph AFB. He spent his military career in Hawaii, Bolivia, Japan and numerous other locations throughout the United States. He retired in San Antonio in 1963.
He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and working at his beloved ranch north of San Antonio.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Mary Lou; sons, Howard Moores III and wife, Carol of San Antonio, TX, Michael Moores of Bryan, TX; stepsons, Kim Hall and wife, Ginger of Durango, CO, Craig Hall and wife, Sally of Crested Butte, CO, and Jeff Hall and wife, Susan of Germany; and numerous grandchildren.
Interment will be in Durango, CO.
