

Ian Christopher Merrill Fincke, dearly beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, born February 17, 1992, in Sioux City, Iowa, quietly passed away Sunday, October 5, 2008, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 16.
A former student of Reagan High School, Ian was currently a junior at Johnson High School.
He was a lover of the outdoors, as he spent many summers at the neighborhood pool, playing soccer and simply enjoying life with his many friends.
Ian held his family close to his heart and touched the lives of so many.
Even though Ian was with us for only 16 short years, his infectious smile, endearing personality, and loving heart has given us, and everyone he encountered, a lifetime of unforgettable memories which we will always cherish.
Ian was a very special son and will remain in our hearts forever.
Ian is survived by his loving parents, Christopher Allen Fincke, M.D. and Stephanie Lea Fincke; siblings Alexa Christine, Caden Jon, Wyatt Allen, and Emme Elizabeth Fincke; grandparents, Charlene and Veryl Merrill, and Jonathan and Elizabeth Fincke; aunts and uncles, Verylene and Harry Burris, Victoria and Rick Eberhart, David and Mary Merrill, Paul Merrill, Mark and Melissa Merrill, Kimberly and Matthew Maycott; numerous cousins, Merrilee, Brad and Doug Burris, Colden and Chris Laesch, Michael, Elke and Emma Eberhart, Charlotte Merrill, Hailey Merrill, and Connor and Luke Maycott; and close friends.
