Ida Charlise Hunt, age 84, passed away June 22, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in St. Martin, French West Indies on April 13, 1937, to Emmanuel and Octavie Hanna. Ida, affectionately known as “Lisa,” was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be missed dearly.
Lisa was iron-willed and proud of her heritage. She loved her family and cherished times spent together. By trade, she was a talented seamstress, but by character she was generous, kind, and laugh out loud funny.
Ms. Hunt was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, Emmanuel “Junior” Hanna.
She is survived by her daughters, Emera Salgado, Rhoda Young, and Stephanie Ashe; 12 grandchildren (Amaré, Nile, Laniece, Jonathan, Corey, Troy, Ryan, Jalen, Kendrick, Julius Charles, Charlise, and Ariel); and four great grandchildren.
We are grateful for a life well lived and will treasure the many memories…which are filled with much laughter.
Visitation will be from 1pm–3pm on Friday, July 2nd with the Funeral Service to be at 3pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A catered reception will follow at 4pm at the Sunset Reception Hall.
