Inez was born July 13, 1937, in Oakland, Maryland, to the late Charles L and Oneda M Davis. She graduated from Southern Garrett High School in 1955 and then went on to receive her RN degree in 1959 from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Cumberland, Maryland. Inez entered the US Air Force in 1961 as an Operating Room Nurse. She was stationed at Carswell Air Force Base in Ft. Worth, Texas and then was assigned to Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. It was there she met her future husband, David Griffiths. She married David in September 1964 at the First Methodist Church in Laredo, Texas, and then was honorably discharged from active duty as a 1st Lieutenant. Her 49-year nursing career included serving communities in Maryland, California, Hawaii, and Texas. She retired in 2008 and was able to spend more time traveling, shopping and visiting with family and friends. Inez always looked forward to playing bunco with her dear friends. Inez and Dave travelled extensively in their retirement and especially loved cruising. They cruised to Europe twice, Alaska and multiple cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Inez was proud and supportive of her daughters, granddaughters, and great grandchildren.
Inez is survived by her devoted husband, David Griffiths; daughter Kimberly Murguia and husband David Murguia; daughter Tricia French and husband Steve French; granddaughter Mackensie Almodóvar, husband Joshua, great granddaughter Amara and great grandson Atlas; granddaughters Audrey and Zoey French.
