Predeceased by her husband LTC Louis F. Strawn, and her son Louis F. Strawn (Ann) of Dallas, she was the last surviving sibling of her family.
Survivors include her daughter Sue Strawn (Andrew Erwin), sons Christopher Strawn (Rose), and Mark Strawn , all of San Antonio; grandchildren, Christopher Richardson, Jon Richardson, Katherine Erwin, Elizabeth Erwin, Brian Erwin, Louis Strawn, Emily Strawn, Jeff Strawn, John Strawn, Ryan Cooper, Drew Cooper, Kim Mauser, Leah Strawn and Silas Strawn; numerous great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Miriam Ruhlen; numerous nieces and nephews including Cheri Woodard, Jasper, Texas, George Ruhlen (Karan),Washington D.C. and Santa Fe, N.M., and Stephen Ruhlen (Mary Ellen), Alexandria, VA.
Inez met her beloved husband Louis while working in Washington, D.C. As an Army wife and mother of four, she was fortunate to live in Austria, Japan, and Germany, and all over the United States. She worked as a real estate broker and owner for many years in San Antonio before retiring, and was a long time member of Altrusa. She had boundless love and energy for her family and friends, and provided wise counsel to her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas, on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will also be held at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:00 am, with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 am. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
