Irene G. Alfaro

Mrs. Alfaro was a dedicated employee of the San Antonio Teachers Credit Union and of Northside Independent School District where she retired from.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gilberto F. Alfaro, her parents, Juan O. and Germana Garces and sister Magdalena Saldana.

She is survived by her son, Francisco F. Alfaro and daughter-in-law Heidi M. Alfaro; brothers and sisters: Juan Garces, Concepcion Garces, Simon Garces, Dolores Lena, Teresa Garces, Christina Geist and Othon Garces and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Alfaro enjoyed life and placed her son and family above all else. She was very devout in her faith, was deeply loved and will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
