Irene Valenzuela Bomar

Irene Valenzuela Bomar passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in San Antonio on October 17, 2018 at the age of 77. She was born on January 30, 1941 in San Antonio, Tx to Presilano and Juanita Valenzuela. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Jack W. Bomar; her parents; and her sisters: Cruz, Janie, Elida, and Molly. She is survived by her daughter Sandra; grandchildren: Brandon, Brandi and her husband Jose; great grandchildren: Adrian, Ariel; brothers: Preston, Rudy, Cayetano Jr; sisters: Bessie, Velia; numerous nieces and nephews and so many family members and friends. She was a very dedicated and loving woman who absolutely loved The Spurs. She built a career taking care of others. She worked as a Crossing Guard for many years helping children cross Broadway at Howard Elementary. After the city put up a traffic light taking her place, she decided to become a CNA and she took care of the retired Priests of Padua Place by St. Anthony Church, and also retired Nuns at Blessed Sacrament until her retirement... She will be greatly missed by so many.

A visitation will begin on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 5 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home.
