Irene Garcia, age 76, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Irene was a vibrant soul who embraced life with joy, warmth, and a deep appreciation for the little things.
She was a proud mother and grandmother, affectionately calling her children and grandchildren her “three angels.” Her love for them was unwavering, and they were the center of her world.
Irene was known for her strong connection to family traditions, especially when it came to food. Her tamales were legendary—lovingly made from scratch, just as she had learned in her younger years, when she and her family would prepare them using hog’s head meat. Cooking was more than a task for Irene; it was an act of love that brought her family together.
She also loved to dance and celebrate life. In her youth, Irene was a member of a folklórico dance group, where she proudly expressed her heritage through music and movement. At every family gathering, she could be found on the dance floor, usually with a smile on her face and a margarita in hand—her favorite drink. She loved a good margarita almost as much as she loved the people around her.
Irene’s zest for life, her laughter, and her ability to bring people together will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her. Her spirit lives on in the stories, traditions, and love she passed down.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Anita Garcia and brother Adam Rodriguez Sr.
She is survived by her partner, Rosendo Medina, children, Julian A. Garcia, Ana Myers, Rosendo Garcia, grandchildren, Khaliah Smith, Jalen Prince, Trevien Prince, Qiera Myers, Logan Garcia,
