Irene Gonzalez, age 71, passed away September 19, 2011 She was born in San Antonio, TX on February 16, 1940 to Alfonso and Antonia Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Alfonso Gonzalez. Irene is survived by her sisters, Martha Hernandez and husband Mario, Carmen Lopez and husband John; sister-in-law, Irene B. Gonzalez; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 26, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 13715 Riggs Rd, Helotes, TX with Rev. Ceaser Betancourt officiating. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery # 2.
