She was born on March 21, 1914, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to John and Veronica Totin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lawrence Gruza, Sr.
She is survived by her son, Lawrence E. Gruza, Jr. and wife Jan of San Antonio; grandchildren, DeAnna Moore and husband Aaron of Houston, Kristen Hernandez and husband Jason of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Madison, Carson, Blake and Shelbie; and sister, Helen Johnson of Allentown, PA.
