Irene Monica Martinez

Irene was born November 27th, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas and was the youngest daughter of Salvador and Angelita Martinez.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, brother Henry Martinez, and cousin Ralph Anthony “Sonny” Guerrero. She is survived by her siblings: Sylvia Tejeda (sister), Rene Martinez (brother), and sister-in-law’s: Diana Martinez and Robin Martinez. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Steven (Donna), Angela (Jody), Desiree (Briana), Deandra (Izreal), Gabriella (Dominic), and Julianna (Joseph). In addition, four of her grand-nieces and nephews also survive her: Seth Henry (Nikki), Ethan Rene, Leilah Elexus, and Ilyana Enri.

Irene was an adoring daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who had a tenacious zest for life and carefree spirit. In this time of grief, she leaves her family and friends with solace knowing that she has been reunited with her loved ones; above all, her treasured mother Angelita. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation for viewing will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 2024, at Funeraria del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, Texas, starting at 5:00 p.m. Rosary service will commence at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1515 Saltillo St, San Antonio, Texas on Friday, May 10th at 9:00 a.m. followed by interment service at San Fernando Cemetery, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, Texas.
