Irene and her husband ran several restaurant businesses for 50 years. She was a great hostess and loved to crochet.
She will be greatly missed and we all loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio M. Pena, sisters, Dora M. Romo and Eva Garza.
She is survived by her daughters, Dora M. Guenther, Yvonne S. Jimenez and her husband Robert, and Julienne Geigenmiller; sons, Steve H. Sanchez III an his wife, Olivia, Edward L. Sanchez and his wife, Genevive, all of San Antonio, TX; granddaughter, Dionne Broom and husband, David, San Diego, CA; 26 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; brothers, Roland P. Garza, Paul R. Garza and his wife, Helen; sisters, Ernestine Moore and Sylvia Rodriguez, Houston, TX.
