Irma was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, niece, cousin, dog grandma, and friend to many. A woman of deep faith, she was a devout Christian who gave her life to Christ. On October 17, 2017, alongside her son, she was baptized.
In the summer of 2014, she traveled to Europe with her daughter Alyssa and husband Loy. They ate at the Eiffel Tower and rode a gondola in Venice—she loved to travel. In the winter of that same year, she was excited to see her daughter Corina graduate with her Master’s degree and get married.
In January 2015, she proudly witnessed the birth of her daughter Kayla’s first child, Aria.
Her faith was unwavering, and she lived her life in service to God and her loved ones.
She found her greatest joy in spending time with family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Irma instilled strong values, love, and strength in her children, shaping them into the wonderful adults they are today.
Irma is preceded in death by her grandparents Max and Anita P. Gonzalez and Elena and Gabriel Ramirez Jr.; her uncles Luis and Manuel; and her beloved niece Brittany Ezell-McCarthy.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Jimmy Loy Aldape, and their four children:
Corina Marie and Andy Ryan
James Alexander Aldape
Kayla Renee and Garron Larza
Alyssa Loy and Texas Hayman
Irma also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, who were her entire world:
Arianna Nichole Aldape, Aria Danelle Larza, Jaxson James Aldape, Ava Rose Larza, and Frannie Jane Larza. There was nothing she loved more than sitting in her front yard and playing with her grandchildren.
She is also survived by her parents, Arturo and Delia Ramirez, and her brother, James Gilbert (Nicole) Ramirez, whom she loved dearly and unconditionally, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and dear friends—each of whom she cherished.
We will be having a Celebration of Life for Irma. We encourage everyone to wear bright colors, as she loved bright colors.
