

Irma Marie Laster was born October 9, 1924 in New Orleans, LA and went to be with her Lord on January 4, 2013 in San Antonio, TX. She grew up mostly in New Orleans and graduated from Sophie Wright High School in New Orleans in 1943. Irma met her husband, Clayton Laster at the USO in New Orleans and they were married October 23, 1944. They lived in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport, LA and Burlington, NC before moving to San Antonio in 1955. She was an active member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church. Her hobbies included painting, especially scenes with animals, pottery and sewing. Irma also loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Clayton; sons, Grady Clayton and wife, Linda, Cary Clayton and wife, Jeannie; grandchildren, Michelle Vignon, Paul Laster, Jennifer Laster and Madeline Biasiolli. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Alexander & Brooke Biasiolli and Genevieve, Josiah & Jackson Laster. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
