

She was born July 18, 1924, in Bocas Del Toro, Republic of Panama. Isabell came to the United States in 1960 and worked to help her children get to the United States. She was a resident of Brooklyn, New York for 46 years. During this time she worked in a New York City hospital for 29 years as a dietician assistant.
Isabell enjoyed reading, especially the reading of English history. In 2006, she moved to San Antonio. She enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean, Europe and Central America. Her main language was French, but she was also fluent in Spanish and English. The family enjoyed listening to her tell stories.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Leone Perrie Lewis; father, Leo Sylvester; son, Augustus Thorpe; daughter, Gloria Clarke; daughter, Barbara Williams and brother, Leonard Sylvester.
Isabell is survived by her daughter, Rosa McPhee and husband Skipton of San Antonio, Texas; son, Renato Webb of El Sobrante, California; grandchildren, Lovell Foster, Skipton McPhee, Jr., Crystal Fapohunda, Sonoma Marion, Iesha Webb, Julian Webb, Phylicia Kehner and Elisha Williams; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
