Ismael Belarmino Bilon entered peacefully into the loving arms of our Lord and eternal rest on July 9, 2025, at the age of 97. He was born in the Philippines on June 17, 1928, to parents Salvacion Bedes and Albino Bilon. A devoted husband and proud father, Ismael lived a life rooted in kindness, generosity, and love for those closest to him.
Born with a giving heart and a gentle spirit, Ismael spent many years in civil service, working with dedication and integrity. While living in Guam, he became an active member of the Bicol Club Association, where he remained connected to his heritage.
It was in Guam where he met his love, Norma Toledo. They married on February 14, 1986, beginning a life together filled with laughter, devotion, and family. Their journey eventually led them to Las Vegas, Nevada and later to San Antonio, Texas.
Ismael had a natural gift for gardening. With his green thumb and unwavering patience, he transformed every space into something beautiful. He found peace and joy among his plants, just as he did in the company of his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends. His family was always in his thoughts and in his heart.
He was known for his friendliness and his smile—if he cared for you, you felt it. Ismael had a quiet strength, a generous nature, and a beautiful soul. Whether offering his time or a helping hand, he made people feel seen and appreciated. His presence was a comfort, and his love left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
Ismael is now reunited in heaven with his parents, Salvacion Belarmino and Albino Bilon; his children, Ismael Bilon Jr. and Lydia McKeithan; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Aileen, Alyssa; and his siblings, Florencia Bilaos, Nicanor Bilon, Zacarias Bilon, Bibincia Gonzaga, and Lida Biso.
He leaves behind his cherished wife, Norma Toledo Bilon; his children, Peter Bilon, Patrick Bilon, Alvin Bilon, Sally Torres, Rebecca Stimac, Janet Oliver, Kathy Bilon-Rueda, and Kristine Deaver; his grandchildren, Krystal, Mark, Paul, Patrick Jr., Jenifer, Angelie, Audrey, Abigail, Alena, Leo, Sam, Thomas III, Timothy, Therese, Angel, Ronnie, Ryan, EJ, Karanina, Eric, and Kristopher; and numerous great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his closest friends, Elsie, Osmin, Jacobo, Ophelia, Linda, Alma and their families.
Ismael will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His friendliness, patience, sense of humor, and love will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.
