Iva Emma McCoy Clayton was born April 9, 1905 and passed away August 5, 2001. She was born in Kenedy, TX and moved with her family to San Antonio. After completing her musical education as a classical pianist, she taught private piano lessons in Rocksprings, Texas for many years. She married Alexander Emlin Buswell in Rocksprings where she lived until his death. She then returned to San Antonio where she taught private piano lessons and later married William Festus Clayton. She is survived by one son, Gordon Emitt Buswell, two step-daughters, Mary Jane Greer and Dorothy Ellen Lomax; six grandchildren, Mary Ann Harrod, Gordon Bruce Buswell, Dorothy Jean Welch, Amy Joyce Donaghe, Judy McCoy and Jimmy Greer; twelve great grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters, and one great-great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alexander Emlin Buswell and William Festus Clayton, her sister Lela Golden Collins, her brothers Alvin McCoy, Carl McCoy, Fred Price McCoy and her step-son Joe Alexander Buswell
