

She proudly served our country for 23 years in the Air Force as a registered nurse, retiring as a Lt. Col. and was a member of The Society of Air Force Nurses. After retirement she worked for Methodist Hospital. She loved animals and gave to many animal shelters. She was an avid fan of the Women's National Basketball Association and a season ticket holder of the Silver Stars. She volunteered delivering for Meals on Wheels and volunteered in the police department assisting many abused women. She loved to travel, one of her favorite places being England.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean Louis and Ruth and brothers, David and Kenneth Demeaux.
She is survived by her niece, Teresa Schmid and husband David and their 6 children; niece, Michelle Demeaux; nephews, Michael, Gregory and Anthony Demeaux; close friends, Judy Sullivan, Lynne Hadlow and Bobbie Murphy; and dogs, Rain and Shelby.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2011, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
