Jorge Julian Fernandez, age 16 was born May 22, 2003 in Del Rio, Texas, to Rodolfo Fernandez and Ana M. Guzman. Julian was a free spirit who always worked on making himself, the world and everyone around him laugh, smile and be a better person than they thought they could be. He cherished and prioritized family, even at a young age Julian knew the importance of keeping those he loved and cared about closest to himself.

Julian (as he’s known by) attended Smithson High School, he was an honor student, going into the 11th grade. During his free time Julian liked to hang out with his friends, play with his little brothers, listen to Joe Rogan and play basketball with his buddies. He was an accomplished, well-travelled, self-taught guitar player who enjoyed the peace of performing for others and himself just as much as he looked forward to a good rumble in the octagon and discipline of wrestling and the mixed arts in the octagon. Usually to the detriment of his opponent. He only knew how to win and if rarely he failed he always worked harder to be successful.

He is survived and perpetually loved and kept alive by his mother Ana M. Guzman; father Rodolfo Fernandez; Stepmother Erica Fernandez, and two brothers Lucas, and Nicolas.

Family will be receiving friends on August 10th, 2019 at 10:00am, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00am: Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, Texas 78232. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway.

I never thought I will be writing a memoir and specially a memoir about you Julian.
A special young boy full of love, energy, hard to forget and easy to remember about the things that you used to do.
You were a loving soul, loved to play with your cousins, loved your family, loved to share your experiences, adventures, your toys.
You used loved to make people laugh with your silliness, who doesn't remember Julian.
You were a different kind of kid, a very special kid that no one will ever forget.
I know my father will take care of you like he did when you were first born.
This is not a goodbye but see you soon kind of thing because we will see each other again and probably this time, we will spend more time together.

Love by your aunt and cousins❤

Julian was such a great friend and a kind soul to be around. Everytime Julian walked into the room, we knew we were about to laugh and have a great time. I love you so much Julian. Rest easy.💚

It feels as if it were only yesterday that Julian was a little kid running around, all big-headed and wobbly with our other younger cousins, getting into some kind of terrible mischief. Gradually, he began to blossom into a talkative boy with insurmountable talent and personality. Then, just like that, he was a lanky teenager with big feet - yet, he we was always the same kind-hearted, generous kid that I had watched grow over the years.

There are so many things that I wish were different or that I could change, but ultimately I wish we had more time together. I know that we will meet again someday. When we do, we will have all the time in the world. Julian, you will forever hold a place in my heart as the goofiest, most loveable, and utterly competitive person that I have ever known.

Love,
Yasmeen Almanza Ampuero

I met Julian in 5th grade. He always had the brightest smile and lit up the day with his laugh. I got to know him when i asked him to play soccer with me during recess, along with that i have tons of memories of hanging out with him along with our friend Andrew! He was one of my best friends during the time i knew him, he truly is an angel and my heart is with him, his friends, and his wonderful family. I love you bro, love your soccer pal, Luke Rupprecht.

It is honestly extremely so hard to write this because I still can not believe my Juliancito isn't here anymore........ Im hearing his loud beautiful laugh as Im writing this to give me strength.........

Julian was such an angel and such an awesome soul. He left great memories with anyone he encountered. He was never shy and never afraid to have a conversation with anyone and that is what made him so unique. He left a mark in everyone's heart because of who he was.
I have plenty of younger cousins but I will say this, Julian had personality and that is what made him such a cool kid. He wasn't afraid to show it either. I was certain that this kid was going to either become a famous youtuber, soccer player, or even a famous basketball player because he was so talented.

Julian left me with his strong personality to always remember him by and his beautiful smile to always think of.
Im sure anyone that has met Julian, could say the same.

Julian, papito, I wish I could speak to you one last time but since this is the closest I have to write to you, I just want to say that I love you soooo sooo much, I hate to really have to believe this is true. I really wish I would have been more present as you grew up into a young man. I wish I didn't allow the time and family issues to get in the way of our awesome bond.
You and I had a precious bond, not only because I was your mom's first daughter/god daughter and you were your mom's first boy, her king, her pride and joy BUT we always had that great bond because we were both goof balls and loved to make a joke out of everything.
Julian, you're an angel, a gift from God that came onto this Earth to make it a better place. You fulfilled your purpose in life, which was to shine a light in everyone's life that you encountered.
I love you.......

Bridget St.Laurent

When Julian first moved to SA, we became friends instantly and had nothing but absolute fun together. Whether it was Airsoft, games, or just being stupid together we never failed to make eachother laugh. I kept in touch with him after moving away, and visited him in Miami when he was present. Our friendship will always be something I cherish the most.
