

Jack was born on April 27, 1931, in Greenville, Mississippi to Thomas and Betty Canada. He passed away on November 25, 2021, in San Antonio, TX. Jack served in the United States Army from September of 1948 to October of 1968. He was a Motor Sergeant Mechanic/Truck Driver in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the U.S. Army he worked at Toyota from 1968 to 1990.
He was a dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be missed dearly by his family and friends. He met the love of his life Agnes L. Youmans while he was stationed in Florida and they were married for 46 years. They moved and built their life in San Antonio, TX with their sons Jack Jr "Pete" and Tom. He loved to garden and pick up pecans from his trees. He also enjoyed spending time with family fishing and hunting.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes L Canada; parents, Thomas "Earl" and Betty Canada; son, Thomas Canada Sr.; his four brothers; and two sisters. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Pete Canada Jr.; granddaughter, Laura (Scott) Rodmaker; grandson, Tommy (Tiffany) Canada; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Lane, and Shaylee.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
