Jack Mundine Hays

He graduated from Brackenridge High in 1926 in San Antonio and later from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his Master of Education from Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos, TX.

He began his teaching career at Callaghan, TX. He taught for 39 years in SAISD, teaching briefly at Mark Twain then transferring to Washington Irving Junior High.

He and wife, Nadone were members of Baptist Temple Church, Beacon Hill Baptist and Trinity Baptist Church, and for the past five years he has been a member of Northview Baptist Church in Floresville, TX.

Preceded in death by his infant daughter, Susan; his wife, Nadone Allen Hays in 1995; and sister, Margaret Alice Hays in 1997.

Survived by his sons, John Hays and wife, Sharon, Bill Hays and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Kim Gilliam, Lance Clem, Susan Belanger, Stephanie and John Hays; and six great grandchildren.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Chandler Healthcare Center and Heartland Hospice for their extraordinary care and affection during his stay.
