Jack Vincent Howard, passed away on January 25, 2026, in San Antonio, TX. He was born on February 24, 1938, in Hackberry, LA, to parents, Leora Vincent and Luther V. Howard. He spent most of his childhood in Sulphur Louisiana where he participated in every sport offered and graduated from Sulphur High. It was in Sulphur where he met and married his bride of 67 years, Esther Mae. He attended Louisiana Tech University on a Football Scholarship and graduated an Academic All-American with a Mathematics degree. He moved around the country working as an Electrical Engineer and settled in San Antonio Texas in 1970. Here he and a friend started their own military procurement company “Data Marketing.” Our dad was our role model and our hero. He taught us to work hard and treat people with respect. We are all a little jealous because dad now gets to watch his Dallas Cowboys every Sunday with their number one fan, our God!
We will remember this verse as a testament to our dad. 2 Tim 4:6 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
He was preceded in death by, his parents; siblings, Cleave, Frank, and Jerry Howard; and grandson, Daniel Foster, and son-in-law Jeff Dock. Jack is survived by his wife, Esther Howard; his children, L’Anna Dock (Jerry), Lance Howard (Dana), Patrick Howard, and Gera Foster; grandchildren, Alisha, Alan, Adam, Alaina, Corley, Tally, and Rani; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Beth Howard.
