

Jack A. Lacey went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2011. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 25, 1923. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Melba Jean Lacey; parents, Arvel Cornelious and Veta May Lacey; sister, Lorraine Palmieri; and brother, Larry Lacey. He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Ted Lacey and life-partner Shirley McAdams; daughter Barbara Ritchey and husband Quinton; grandchildren Stacey Bone and husband David, and Joseph Ritchey and wife Tiffany; and great grandson Brenden Bone. During World War II he served in the 1905th Army Corp of Engineers with duty in China, Burma and India. Jack loved baseball and played minor league baseball for Veltman Kids. Jack had a long career with City Public Service rising to foreman in the meter shop. He was a member of Patterson Lodge No. 1177, Grand Lodge of Texas A.F. & A.M., Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite 32o Degree, and Alzafar Shrine Temple. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, July 8, 2011 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
