

He was a lifelong Texan raised on his father's dairy farm in San Antonio. After joining the Navy at the age of 17 he saw the world and had loads of fun. Jack met the love of his life on a blind date. They began their family while he worked at International Harvester Trucking Company, where he worked until his retirement after 19 years.
Jack loved tinkering with his crystal radios. He had a love of animals and they all loved him back. Following his retirement, he lived the rural life he always wanted in Seguin.
He was a member of USS St. Paul Association, American Legion Post 0245, Disabled American Veterans lifetime member, and VFW Post 8456.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Ann Weir, and his son, Kenneth Weir.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Dorthy Atkinson Weir; daughters, Sheila Gonzalez and husband Gabriel, and Sara Weir; brother, Robert Weir, sister, Mary Ann Bridges; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Gee Weir; two grandchildren, Tyler James Austin Weir and Charles Armstrong Johnson; and his lifetime buddy, his dog Roy.
