Jack loved and participated in sports throughout his life. Growing up he played basketball and baseball at Austwell-Tivoli High School. After college, he coached at Falfurrias HS, Memorial Middle School in Kingsville, Victoria HS, Bloomington HS and Holmes HS.
He truly demonstrated his passion for coaching when he initiated the girls' basketball team at Holmes HS in 1974. Two seasons later, the San Antonio Express-News named Jack Coach of the Year for leading his team to a 28-4 record and the District 15-4A Crown.
After coaching, Jack pursued a successful career in sales and received many top awards before retiring in 2004.
Jack and Madelyn enjoyed frequent trips to Las Vegas for entertainment and his love for playing Texas Hold 'em.
The family greatly appreciates Dr. Steven Kalter and his staff for their compassionate support and care.
