Jackie Edwin Yates, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2016. He was born on July 2, 1933 in Kuttawa, Kentucky to William Bryant Yates and Sarah Lovie Jennings Yates. Jack served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955, stationed in Alaska and Texas. He retired from the U.S. Civil Service where he worked at Corpus Christi Army Depot. He is survived by his daughter Rhonda McMath and son-in-law Bruce of Spokane Washington, daughter Rebecca Daley of San Antonio and son Russell Yates of Houston. Grandchildren, Jodi Pennington of Washington; Ryan Yates of Florida; Jakob McMath of Washington; Eric Yates and Elizabeth Yates of Houston. Great-grandchildren, Gauge Pennington of Washington; Noah Hirshey of Texas; and Alice McMath of Washington. The family would like to thank the dedicated and caring individuals of Gentiva Hospice who cared for Mr. Yates.
