Jacob Edwin Terry Jr.

Jacob Terry Jr. son of Jacob Terry and Vivian Peeples passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 87. Jacob grew up in Hampton, South Carolina where he attended school. He proudly served in the USAF and honorably retired as a CMSgt after 29 years. He served in multiple duty assignments including a tour in Vietnam. After retirement, he became a civil service employee and worked in multiple locations including Naples, Italy. After service to his country, he traveled the US in a RV before settling in San Antonio, Texas. Above all, Jacob was a loving family man.

Jacob leaves behind his beloved wife, Nannie (Mary) of 38 years; his son Floyd (Janice) and the late Debra Chavez; stepdaughter Maxcine Mittemiller and late stepson Robert Snowden Jr. and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home in San Antonio Texas on September 19th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, have a scoop of ice cream in Jacob’s honor.

A visitation for Jacob will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218. A committal service will occur Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
