

Jacqueline Patrick Brady, 81, of San Antonio, beloved wife, cherished mother, doting grandmother, and loving friend, passed into the hands of our Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2011. Jacquie was born to Marvin and Ollie Belle Patrick on November 10, 1930 in Winters, Texas. Upon the death of her father, Jacquie, along with her mother and two sisters, moved to Carrizo Springs, Texas. It was there, in the fourth grade, that she met her true love and future husband, Richard Brady. After graduating from Carrizo Springs High School, Jacquie attended Texas A&I College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1952. She went on to receive a Masters of Education from Southwest Texas State Teachers College. Jacquie taught school in Carrizo Springs and San Antonio at Randolph, Serna, and Glen Oaks elementary schools. She also taught at the American School in Blackpool, England. Jacquie married her childhood sweetheart, Richard, in 1954. They were married for 57 years. Together they had three children, Kevin, Brian and Maura. To the delight of her children, much of Jacquie's time was spent supporting their various athletic and artistic endeavors. She was the consummate fan and cheerleader at every baseball and basketball game, and every piano and ballet recital. Jacquie was active in the San Antonio Bar Association Auxiliary serving as Secretary. She was elected Vice President and President of the San Antonio Petroleum Auxiliary. Jacquie was predeceased by her sisters Patricia Mullins and Mary Cook. She is survived by her devoted husband and the love of her life, Dick; their three children and their spouses; Kevin Brady and his wife Shannon, of Austin; Brian Brady and his wife Karen, of San Antonio; Maura Costello and her husband Tim, of Dallas. She leaves her beautiful and much adored grandchildren Tom and Catherine Brady; Tyler, Allie and Abbey Brady; and Caitlin and Erin Costello. She is also survived by her nephews Don Cook, John Mullins and Keith Mullins. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
