He is preceded in death by his son, Terry; parents; a brother, Vernon and sister, Geraldine.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; son, Tim; daughter, Tammy; his brothers, Donnie and Earl; and sister, Phoebe.
Jim was transferred to San Antonio in 1981 with CITGO Oil Company as a district manager. He retired in 1984 and started his own business with CITGO and Sinclair in the sign business. He and his wife Phyllis and their son did this for 10 years. He retired in 1996. Jim loved bowling, having a drink with friends and neighbors and relaxing. Jim was a loving husband and friend to Phyllis for 61 years and a loving father.
Services will be held at Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church located at 16245 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247 at 2:00pm, Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in the sanctuary.
